“MAN IS BORN FREE …”

competition stamp 2015
“man is born free but everywhere he is in chains.”
J. J. Rousseau 1758
Right now in the 21st century human rights are violated in a way that makes you think that since the days of Rousseau and inspite of Orwell’s 1984 there has been hardly any change for the better; only the means and the priorities have been shifted.
Man as an individual (fingerprint) shall be reminded of the Declaration of Human Rights as a maxim for action in daily life.
The fingerprint as a symbol of total individuality vs. total security.
